Raindance AI solo: the trend from one photo

Most Raindance AI videos use two people, but not everyone has a second person to hand. If you searched for Raindance AI solo, or for the Raindance trend with one photo, this is the version for you. You upload a single picture of yourself and the same person appears in all four shots of the clip.

What Solo means

In the normal two-photo version, Person 1 waits on the pier and Person 2 sings to them. In Solo, there is only one photo, so the same person does both parts. You wait at the end of the pier, you appear in the singing close-ups, you sit down, and you finish the clip in the evening light. It still looks like a short music video, and it still runs about 12 seconds in vertical 9:16 at 720p.

When people choose Solo

A few common reasons come up. Some people simply want to post the trend as themselves, without involving anyone else. Others are making a gift or a surprise and do not want to ask the other person for a photo first. Some people want to see how the format looks before they try the duet Raindance AI page version with a partner or friend.

Solo is also the quickest way to test a photo. If your picture looks good as a single-person clip, it will usually look good in a duet too.

Choosing the right photo

The photo does most of the work. Use one clear, front-facing picture of one adult. Good light helps, and so does a face that is not hidden by sunglasses, a hat brim or a hand. Avoid group shots, heavy filters and very small faces in a wide picture. Photos of celebrities are not allowed, and only adults can be used.

Pick a scene and a sound

Solo works with all three scenes: Golden-hour pier, Rain on the pier, and Reception lights. You can read about the rain on the pier page and the wedding and anniversary page if you want something other than the default sunset look.

For sound, you can leave the default, which sings an original song in the video, or choose Silent and add the Raindance sound yourself inside TikTok or Reels. We never supply the original recording. If you are unsure why, see is Raindance an AI song.
